“Killer Litter” refers to a Singapore phenomenon where large items are being thrown out of high-rise apartment windows. Previous items thrown out included TV sets, chairs, cabinets and babies. Penalty for this is very severe – even in cases where no one is harm in the act.Killer litter offenders can be fined up to S$2,000 and 5 years imprisonment.
1.Man arrested after killer litter rained down from 11th floor of Boon Keng flat; 3 cars damaged
Police arrested a 60-year-old man on Sunday (Jan 10) morning after he allegedly threw more than 10 items from his Housing Board flat in Boon Keng.
Three cars - a Toyota, Mitsubishi and Volkswagen - parked below the block suffered varying damage due to the killer litter, which included flower pots, an electrical rice cooker and even a shopping trolley.

3.Teen admits to killer litter offences
In May this year, a 16-year-old used a bent paper card to act as a spring to launch a bicycle wheel from the 14th floor of a housing block and hit a woman below.
A Community Court heard on Monday that the victim, 67-year-old retiree Mahani Abdullah, was walking past Block 1 Eunos Crescent when she was hit by the wheel on May 16. She died on June 6 from sepsis due to urinary tract infection.
